A Platform checks

Streaming region support table

The listed regions define what needs to be checked; they aren't a list of confirmed working regions. There are currently no records confirming that a given platform works through a specific exit.

Platform × region × support status × suggested route
Platform Regions Support status Suggested route and what to check
Netflix No verified regions provided Unverified Test an available route in the target region. Check the catalog, the title you want to watch and full playback.
Disney+ No verified regions provided Unverified First check where the platform is available, then test an exit in that region. Verify account and device requirements separately.
HBO Max No verified regions provided Unverified Check the product name and service availability in your region. Test sign-in and full-length playback.
Hulu No verified regions provided Unverified Check account requirements first. Verify the exit region and whether the platform detects a proxy.
YouTube Premium No verified regions provided Unverified Playing regular videos doesn't confirm that your membership is valid in the region. Check eligibility and regional rules.
Prime Video No verified regions provided Unverified Test with an account for the relevant market. Distinguish access to the store page from the ability to play titles.
BBC iPlayer No verified regions provided Unverified Check local eligibility and the platform's terms first. Choose a route based on available exits and actual playback results.

VPN73 covers 90+ countries and 210+ routes. This describes international route coverage; it doesn't mean every country has the catalogs listed here or that every route passes a platform's proxy checks. Node names, exit locations and the regions platforms detect may differ. Check after connecting rather than relying on the route name alone.

A suggested route isn't shorthand for “dedicated route means guaranteed access.” IEPL, transit and direct connections describe how a connection is routed. Platforms may also check the exit IP, account market and content rights. First confirm that a route is available in your target region, then compare playback stability. If no route is available in the target region, a nearby region shouldn't be treated as an equivalent substitute.

B How access is assessed

What does “access” mean?

Streaming access generally means a platform allows region-licensed content to appear and play under your current network exit and account conditions. This involves distinct outcomes: opening the site, seeing a catalog and playing a full title. Loading the homepage only shows that the page request succeeded. Finding a title may only show its details; neither confirms that you can play it.

To test access, choose a specific title or show you actually want to watch. Note the connection region, route name, client and platform app. Check that the title page has a play button, start the full program and confirm playback continues, with the expected audio and subtitles. Trailers and full titles may have different licensing, so a trailer alone isn't enough to verify access.

Your account subscription is a separate requirement. VPN73 provides a cross-border network subscription, not memberships to third-party platforms such as Netflix or Disney+. It doesn't change your platform's billing region, household rules or content licenses. Even with a working route, you need the valid membership required by the platform and must follow local laws and its terms.

YouTube Premium is especially easy to confuse with ordinary video access. Being able to play a video doesn't mean the platform will accept a membership purchase, renewal or regional eligibility. Prime Video store markets and video rights should also be checked separately. In these cases, read the account notice from the platform instead of repeatedly changing routes to complete an account action.

C Exit IP checks

Native IPs and residential IPs

In service descriptions, “native IP” is often used for an address whose registered region matches its actual exit region, but it's not a standardized streaming verification category. Databases use different criteria and update at different rates, so the same address may appear to be in different regions. Platforms may use their own detection data, meaning an accurate result from an external lookup doesn't replace a playback test.

A “residential IP” is generally classified as a home broadband address rather than a data center address. That classification doesn't mean the address is used by just one person, that a platform will allow it or that account requirements no longer apply. Shared usage history, access patterns and platform risk controls can all affect the result.

This page has no verification records for native or residential IP attributes on VPN73 exits, so routes aren't labeled as native, residential or dedicated IPs. Encryption is a separate matter: military-grade encryption describes the service's security; it doesn't turn a data center exit into a residential one or grant access to a streaming catalog.

To troubleshoot, start with the site's IP lookup to check whether your exit has changed, then test the platform again. If your system shows a new exit but the platform still shows the old region, the app may not have reconnected, your account region may be restricted, or the platform may use other signals. Don't assume the platform is wrong based only on the location shown by an IP lookup.

D Playback requirements

Requirements for 4K and Dolby Vision

4K playback requires sustained throughput, but there's no single bandwidth threshold that applies to every platform, title and encoding format. Check the target platform's current help documentation for its minimum requirements. This page has no verifiable bandwidth test results, so it doesn't list a fixed speed or treat a peak speed test result as proof of smooth playback.

Playback depends on the full connection path: your local connection, Wi-Fi, the cross-border route, the connection from the exit to the content delivery node, and your device's decoding capability. A fast speed-test download doesn't mean the route to a platform's delivery node is just as fast. If playback starts clearly but then buffers repeatedly, sustained throughput may be the issue rather than regional access.

For a more useful test, play the content on the device, network and at the time you normally watch. Check whether quality stays stable, playback recovers after seeking, and loading messages recur. Pause other high-bandwidth activity during the test, keep the exit unchanged and avoid frequent switching, which can trigger reauthentication or affect caching.

Dolby Vision also requires the source, platform plan, app, device and display chain to be compatible. HDR or Dolby Vision indicators in a player aren't determined by the network alone. If a title plays continuously without the expected quality indicator, check your platform benefits, source version, device support and display settings before blaming the route.

E Troubleshooting by issue

Common errors and what to try

The same error code can mean different things depending on the app version, device and region. Refer to the full message and the platform's official help rather than assuming a code has only one cause.

Troubleshoot based on the message, not just the code
Message or error type Common causes What to try
Proxy or VPN detected Exit IP detection Note the current route. After stopping playback, try another available route in the same region, then reopen the app and test again.
Not available in your region Content rights, exit IP detection or account market Check the platform's service regions and the title's availability. Confirm your exit and account eligibility; signing in doesn't mean you can play the title.
Network connection failed or timed out Local network, DNS resolution or route connection First check that regular webpages load and the client is connected, then confirm the app is using the expected network path.
Playback interrupted or keeps buffering Sustained throughput, network instability or content delivery path Pause background transfers and try lower video quality, then compare continuous playback on other available routes.
Device, household or account verification failed Platform account rules Follow the platform's account help. A cross-border route can't replace account verification or a valid membership.
Unsupported browser or protected content error Browser compatibility, content protection or display chain Update to a supported browser or app. Check content protection settings, connected displays and system requirements.

Keep the full error code and context

If an error code contains letters and numbers, save the full code, message and the point at which it occurred. A sign-in error and a playback error may have similar codes but different causes. Search the full code in the platform's official help and check the device category it applies to; don't apply steps intended for another system.

Change one thing at a time

First confirm the client is connected and check the exit, then fully close and reopen the streaming app. If the problem continues, keep the same account and title and change only the route. Changing regions, clearing the cache, reinstalling the app and changing system network settings all at once makes it hard to tell what helped, even if playback resumes.

Share details that help reproduce the issue

If you need help, use the support ticket link in the user panel to share the platform, title, route, operating system and app details, error message and steps to reproduce the issue. Hide account credentials and personal information in screenshots; never send your password or full subscription URL. These details help support distinguish connection, platform detection and account eligibility issues, reducing follow-up questions.

F Planning your usage

Choosing devices and data

VPN73 supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux, with unlimited simultaneous devices. Unlimited devices refers to the number of devices, not a separate data allowance for each one, and it doesn't mean every device can deliver the high-quality playback a platform requires. When watching on multiple devices, keep an eye on your account's actual data usage and whether your local network is the bottleneck.

Get clients from the user panel. Sign in to download for Android, Windows, macOS and Linux; iOS requires an active plan. You also need to sign in to get your subscription. No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. After setup, verify the exit and playback on each device. A successful test on your computer doesn't confirm that other devices will work.

Monthly plans: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. Mid-cycle upgrades are prorated by the remaining days. Data packs: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. Data lasts until used and never expires. Viewing time and data use depend on video quality, encoding, source and autoplay; this page doesn't convert plan data into a fixed number of viewing hours.

Payment methods: Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. A 30-day money-back guarantee is available. Plan data and third-party platform memberships are billed separately; check each before choosing. If you mainly watch video, test the content first and choose a billing option based on your actual data use rather than estimating from the highest quality label alone.

If the displayed region matches my target, does that mean I have access?

No. Exit location is only one part of the check. You still need to verify account requirements, catalog availability and continuous playback of the title you want to watch.

What should I do if a route that used to work now shows a regional error?

Platform policies or IP detection may have changed. Note the message and check your exit, then reopen the app and test again. If needed, compare other available routes in the same region and keep the results for troubleshooting.

Does a more expensive plan guarantee access to more catalogs?

This page has no basis for promising additional catalogs with a particular plan. Data allowances don't replace region and playback checks. Refer to the plan details on the pricing page when choosing.
